The film follows Vivo, a music-loving kinkajou who lives in the Amazon rainforest with his owner, Andrés. Andrés dreams of performing at the Gran Carpa Cubana in Havana, Cuba, to confess his love to Marta, a childhood friend who has moved there. When Andrés is invited to perform at the Gran Carpa Cubana, Vivo is thrilled, but tragedy strikes when Andrés is injured and unable to travel.
