Conjoined twins Brittany and Abby Hensel react to Josh Bowling's 'loud' comments after wedding reception
Brittany and Abby Hensel, conjoined twins who starred on their own TLC reality series, bravely responded to online comments about Abby and husband Josh Bowling's marriage.
Brittany and Abby Hensel aren't going anywhere.
Amid news of Abby and Josh Bowling's marriage, the conjoined twins (whose emotional journey has been chronicled in numerous documentaries) are letting everyone know they will never be silenced. In fact, as the 34-year-old sisters pointed out, their story is timeless.
"The internet is louder than usual today," Brittany and Abby captioned a March 28 TikTok video showing various ancient carvings of conjoined twins. “We were always there.”
Brittany and Abby first gained national attention in 1996 when they appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show and shared how they lived life with their unique dynamic. Although they can all sleep, eat, and talk separately, Brittany is anatomically connected to her siblings below the navel and operates as one body, so the siblings are highly synchronized with each other.
Her case was also featured in 2007's "Extraordinary People: The Twins Who Share a Body." As explained in the document, Brittany controls her left limb and Abby controls her right limb. They also each have their own heart, brain, lungs, stomach, and kidneys, but they also share other organs such as the liver and bladder.
