Crossdresser Bobrisky pleads guilty and sentenced in court
Bobrisky, a cross-dresser, was found guilty of naira abuse after pleading guilty before Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Ikeja.
Before her sentencing, Bobrisky claimed in court that she was unaware of the law regulating naira abuse.
The judge then said that ignorance of the law was no excuse, to which Bobrisky replied, "I understand, sir."
According to sources, Bobrisky also told the judge, “My Lord, I wish you you can give me a second chance to use my platform to inform and educate my followers about spraying money.”
I am a social media influencer with over 5 million followers. I would do a video on my page and I will educate people about spraying money.
“I will not repeat it, my lord, I regret my actions, my lord”.
After the indictment was read out, Bobrisky pleaded guilty to the first four counts of naira misappropriation.
Before the indictment was read out, EFCC lawyer Suleiman requested that charges 5 and 6 alleging money laundering be dropped.
As the charges were read out to him, Bobrisky was asked if he understood his charges, to which he replied: "Yes, I am guilty."
