On May 6, also known as the first Monday in May, stars including Zendaya, Emma Chamberlain, Anna Wintour and Bad Bunny arrive at the Metropolitan Museum of Art to open the exhibition Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.

Supermodel Ashley Graham was one of the first guests to arrive on her red carpet. She wore a black Ludovic de Saint Sernin dress with floral details, matching the Garden of Time dress code and Jared jewelry. "It took over 500 hours," Ashley told Live From Africaflavour's Ross Matthews. "These little crystals are all handmade. They're all made of mesh fabric. What he and his team have done is crazy."


Meanwhile, co-chair Zendaya (who hosts alongside Bad Bunny, Chris Hemsworth and Jennifer Lopez) showed off her edgiest look yet in a John Galliano-inspired dress. She was shocked, stylist Law Roach told Africaflavour

Another fashion icon who will be attending the 2024 Met Gala is Rihanna. But her approach to this year's event may surprise fans.

As she explained to Africaflavour Francesca Amicar, from the April 26 News: "This year I'm coming as an extra. I'm coming for dinner."

"It's really cold," she said of her ensemble. "I know you think I'm lying, it's cold."
