Oleksandr Usyk receives temporary suspension from boxing after Tyson vs. Fury fight

Oleksandr Usyk has been suspended following his emphatic victory over Tyson Fury.

After
a fierce battle between the two, Usyk nearly knocked Fury down in the ninth round, but the ropes prevented him from hitting the canvas.

The
referee stepped in to start the count and Fury took the fight to the end, but ultimately suffered his first loss by split decision in Saudi Arabia.

After
the fight, Usyk underwent a thorough examination at the hospital, and although there were no abnormalities in his medical examination, Fury claimed that the cause of the fight was a fracture in his opponent's jaw.

The
British Boxing Board of Control has suspended Usyk until June 2nd after suffering an injury during his bout with Fury. There is no evidence in Fury's boxing record that he was ever suspended.

Despite
his suspension, Usyk's boxing career has not been significantly affected, with the Ukrainian fighter scheduled to take a break after a grueling nine-month training camp. The highly anticipated fight with Fury was initially postponed from December to February, and then to May, the Mirror reported.
