"Singer Portable has been released on bail conditions"

Singer Portable was granted bail after complying with the bail conditions set for his release.

"Singer Portable has been released on bail conditions."

This
was after he was arrested for allegedly refusing to pay a N14 million debt he owed when he bought a G-Wagon from a car dealer in Lagos State.

State
Police Spokesman Benjamin Hundain confirmed Portable's release on Wednesday, May 15, saying, "Bail has been granted."

Men of the Lagos State Police Command yesterday arrested singer Portable. The singer was arrested on May 14 at the request of a car dealer.

Portable
allegedly bought a G Wagon worth 27 million Naira from a car dealer, paid a deposit of 12 million Naira and brought the car in with the promise of paying the balance. After waiting for a while without saying anything about the account balance, the dealer contacted the singer and claimed that the car he had purchased was defective. The dealer then asked the singer to return the car or pay her balance, but Portable reportedly refused.

Following
a petition from her dealer, police were called in and arrested the singer. The singer jumped her gate to prevent her arrest. He is currently being held at state police headquarters, where he may spend the night as police have not yet secured a surety for his bail. When contacted, Spokesman of the Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Fundein, confirmed the arrest of the singer.
